Burgard Plumbing was established in November of 1999 by owner and operator, Ross Burgard. It has been built on long standing work traditions of quality and honest, but fair relations with customers.
Burgard Plumbing has strong roots in the history of maintaining and installing piping systems. Ross’ grandfather, Frank Burgard Sr., was an engineer and senior supervisor for the famed Baronne Building in New Orleans. His father, Frank Burgard Jr., was a fabrication supervisor at Murphy Refinery in Chalmette, LA. He had a degree in plumbing and drafting from Delgado College in New Orleans. When the Gulf oil industry hit bottom in the 80s, he moved the Burgard family to Houma, LA and started Franks Plumbing & Heating.
In high school, Ross began his plumbing apprenticeship under his father. At this time, his father’s business had risen to be the top plumbing company in Houma. Ross continued working there while earning his Journeyman’s License and Master’s Plumbing License. As his father started to age, he scaled back his business to small service work, and Ross began his own company with a bigger focus on new construction and commercial.
When Ross went out on his own, not only did he take with him the experiences his father taught him, but also the character traits that his father was known best for: being personable and compassionate. Along with that inviting demeanor, Ross has infused faith and family with quality workmanship and professionalism into his business practices. This formula has provided the foundation upon which Burgard Plumbing has been blessed with much success and growth.
Burgard Plumbing is based in Dularge, LA, which is home to Ross and his wife Shawny, along with their five children. Ross considers it God’s Country, as he loves the abundance of hunting and fishing, the sense of community among its residents and the quiet and serenity it provides during his off time.
